Generally Weight Training differs from other similar disciplines like bodybuilding and weight lifting, because they are sports and not forms of exercise. Weight training is used by athletes as a routine or regime to acquire body tone, mass muscles and strength.
Body Building weight training is a type of strength training. Practicing this type of exercise will increase muscular strength and size, rather than muscular endurance and flexibility that other disciplines are focused on, like aerobic exercise, yoga and pilates. For example, Body Building Workouts are some of the most misunderstood methods in the sports industry for getting lean muscle mass and natural strength. They usually involve push-ups, pull-ups and dips, but those are not workouts for getting mass muscle. If you want to get mass muscle like the professionals, you have to know first the different types of weight training exercises. Resistance Training Involves the use of elastic resistance to contraction instead of gravity. While Weight training provides its resistance at the beginning of the movement when the muscle has to do the greatest effort to overcome the weights mass, an Elastic resistance has its greatest resistance and the end of the movements. When the movement is restricted to one joint and one muscle group is called isolation exercise. The quadriceps on an extension is an example of an isolation exercise. To accomplish this, specialized equipment is used to ensure the minimal involvement of other muscle groups; this is to help maintain a correct posture. The Compound exercises means that they can work with many muscle groups at the same time and also include movement on more than 2 joints. An example of this would be a leg press movement, its primarily used to develop quadriceps. This compound exercises are similar to the usual push, pull exercises. Obviously, there are different kinds of weight training exercises, but you should focus on what works for you and what you want to accomplish. Dont try to decide by yourself, you need guidance and someone with the proper training to show you how to acomplish your desired goal on time.
